Has the State Street Mall anchored by the University on one end and the State Capital on the other. This is the most successful pedestrian mall in the country. Stoughton, Wisconsin
Boasts of one of the larger historic downtowns in the area. Has just remodeled one of the only remaining second story opera houses in the Midwest. Puts on Syttende Mai, one of the largest celebrations of the Norwegian Independence Day in the country, held annually in May. The Norwegian Dancers- a local ethnic dance troupe of some repute – perform at this event and travel to perform their unique style of dance. Just a short distance from Lake Kegonsa and Lake Kegonsa State Park. |

Home of Jimmy the Groundhog. A large sweet corn festival is held each August. Has a racetrack where Midget Auto Racing is held. Contains the largest Aquatic center in the area. Many shops in the downtown sell antiques. |
